# JunkSell > JunkSell (junksell.com) is a business-to-business surplus buying desk, not junk removal. Businesses list reusable packaging, containers and material-handling gear as one lot (a manifest) and get one quote and one pickup plan. The quote marks each line as resale, recycling or disposal. No household junk, vehicles or electronics. Contact: info@junksell.com ## Accepted products - [Gaylord boxes](https://junksell.com/what-we-buy/gaylord-boxes): Corrugated bulk bins on a pallet footprint, from double-wall to 5-wall octagonal. - [IBC totes](https://junksell.com/what-we-buy/ibc-totes): 275 and 330 gallon intermediate bulk containers: a plastic bottle in a steel cage on a pallet base. - [Steel drums](https://junksell.com/what-we-buy/metal-drums): 55-gallon and smaller steel drums, tight-head (bung) or open-head with lids and rings. - [Plastic drums](https://junksell.com/what-we-buy/plastic-drums): HDPE drums, mostly 55 gallon, tight-head or open-head. - [Fiber drums](https://junksell.com/what-we-buy/fiber-drums): Spiral-wound paperboard drums with steel or plastic chimes and lids, for dry goods. - [Wood pallets](https://junksell.com/what-we-buy/pallets): Stringer and block pallets, from 48 x 40 standards to odd sizes, sound or broken. - [Plastic pallets](https://junksell.com/what-we-buy/plastic-pallets): HDPE and polypropylene pallets: rackable, stackable and nestable. - [Wire baskets](https://junksell.com/what-we-buy/wire-baskets): Collapsible wire mesh containers and bulk wire bins used for parts and storage. - [Metal cages and racks](https://junksell.com/what-we-buy/metal-cages): Steel stillages, stacking racks, roll cages and returnable metal containers. - [Bulk bags (FIBCs)](https://junksell.com/what-we-buy/bulk-bags): Woven polypropylene flexible intermediate bulk containers, with or without liners and spouts. - [Plastic crates and bins](https://junksell.com/what-we-buy/plastic-crates): Stackable and nestable totes, attached-lid containers, bulk plastic bins and bakery or dairy-style crates. - [Wood crates and bins](https://junksell.com/what-we-buy/wood-crates): Wooden crates, bulk bins and reusable shipping crates. - [Handling equipment and racking](https://junksell.com/what-we-buy/equipment): Pallet racking, shelving, forklifts, pallet jacks, carts, conveyors and similar gear. - [Cardboard bales](https://junksell.com/what-we-buy/cardboard-bales): Baled old corrugated containers (OCC) from a vertical or horizontal baler. ## Not accepted - Household junk: Furniture, appliances, mattresses, yard waste, garage and attic cleanouts. Instead: Your city or county bulky-item collection, a donation center for usable furniture and building materials (such as a Habitat for Humanity ReStore), or a residential junk removal service. - Cars and other vehicles: Cars, trucks, motorcycles, boats and scrap vehicles. Instead: A licensed auto recycler or scrap yard that can take the title, or a vehicle donation program. Your state motor vehicle agency explains how to transfer or surrender the title. - Electronics and e-waste: Computers, monitors, phones, servers, printers, batteries and cables. Instead: A certified electronics recycler. The US EPA lists the R2 and e-Stewards certifications as the standards to look for, and many manufacturers run take-back programs. - Hazardous materials and full containers: Containers still holding product, unknown residues, chemicals, paint, solvents, used oil and anything that is not "empty" under 40 CFR 261.7. Instead: A licensed hazardous waste hauler, or your state’s hazardous waste program for small quantities. Once containers are emptied and documented, list them here. - Construction and demolition debris: Drywall, concrete, roofing, mixed demolition waste. Instead: A roll-off dumpster or a construction and demolition recycling facility in your area. - Things that aren’t yours to sell: Pooled pallets and crates (blue, red or stenciled with a pool’s name), supplier returnable racks, leased or financed equipment. Instead: The owner: pool companies and suppliers collect their own assets, and lessors handle returns of leased units. - Full list: https://junksell.com/what-we-dont ## How a lot quote works 1. Build the lot: one line per kind of item, with quantity, condition (like new, used good, damaged, scrap) and size. https://junksell.com/lot 2. Send it with the pickup ZIP, loading access (dock, forklift) and the date it must be gone. 3. The quote marks every line as resale, recycling or disposal, and states the pickup and payment terms. Minimums depend on product and location. 4. Accepted lines are collected on the agreed pickup. No prices. - [Truckload calculator](https://junksell.com/truckload): converts lines into 48 x 40 floor positions and trailers (53 ft dry van about 26 positions straight, 30 turned). ## Guides - [Plant closure checklist: sell the reusable surplus before you haul](https://junksell.com/guides/plant-closure-checklist): A plant closure checklist for the packaging, containers and handling gear left on the floor: what to inventory, what to sell first, and what to hand to a hauler last. - [Lease-end warehouse clearing: getting a building back to broom-clean](https://junksell.com/guides/lease-end-warehouse-clearing): How to clear a leased warehouse before handback: read the surrender clause, separate owned from pooled assets, sell reusable packaging and racking, and leave the hauler for last. - [What makes a used gaylord box resellable?](https://junksell.com/guides/what-makes-a-gaylord-resellable): The four things that decide whether a used gaylord box resells or goes to the baler: dry fiber, intact flaps, wall count and what it held. - [IBC tote resale: contents, cages, valves and retest dates](https://junksell.com/guides/ibc-tote-resale-rules): What decides whether a used IBC tote is reused, rebottled or recycled: previous contents, emptiness, cage and bottle condition, and the retest marking. - [Selling used wire baskets, metal cages and stacking racks](https://junksell.com/guides/wire-baskets-and-metal-cages): How used wire baskets and steel cages are judged for resale: folding and latches, welds, rust, matching designs, and the ownership marks that mean a rack isn’t yours to sell. - [Selling used pallet racking: what to measure and what disqualifies it](https://junksell.com/guides/selling-used-pallet-racking): How used pallet racking is quoted: style, upright height and depth, beam length, counts, damage and load plaques, and who takes it down. - [Junk removal vs selling surplus: the math, line by line](https://junksell.com/guides/junk-removal-vs-selling-surplus): A worked way to compare paying a hauler with selling reusable surplus: what each line costs to haul, what it can sell for, and why sorting the lot first changes the total. - [Truckloads and minimums: why lot size decides the pickup terms](https://junksell.com/guides/truckloads-and-minimums): Why surplus buyers have minimums, how floor positions add up to a truckload, the trailer figures used for planning, and how to reach a full load. - [Emptying and documenting drums and totes before you sell them](https://junksell.com/guides/emptying-and-documenting-drums-and-totes): What "empty" means for drums and IBC totes under 40 CFR 261.7, how to drain them, how triple rinsing works for acutely hazardous residues, and what records to keep. - [Reuse vs recycling on your diversion report](https://junksell.com/guides/reuse-vs-recycling-diversion-report): Why reuse of packaging ranks above recycling in the EPA waste hierarchy, how to record reused, recycled and disposed lines separately, and what documentation to ask for. ## Optional - [Full text of this site](https://junksell.com/llms-full.txt) - [About and contact](https://junksell.com/about)
